It ?s a salt of the Sorbic Acid. Originally, Sorbic Acid was extracted from the rowan tree (Sorbus aucuparia), hence its name. It is now synthetically produced. Potassium Sorbate is a soft preservative, used in the food industry, cosmetology and pharmacology, allowed by Ecocert. It is not toxic. Used in a concentration of 0,2% in some zorah products.
